I grew up the 'Burg so when I heard Home Hardware and the businesses on both sides burnt down last week it made me feel a bit sad to think the old stores are gone for ever.
I cannot even begin to describe the incredible detailed beauty in the work of lacemakers from the region, Montreal and Quebec City, I saw today at the RA Centre. Me, Maria and Mina. It was so wonderful to see Maria again after her 6 month long trip to South America. Of course it's always nice to see Mina too. We ate in the atrium of 'Le Droit' Building on the market at the vegetarian restaurant, the Garden of Peace serviced by the disciples of Sri Shimoy. (the guy who cant paint). I have to admit it's the best food I've eaten in Ottawa in years.
